Games bring home the magic of the movies

A good family film can be as fun for adults as it is for kids. However, as parents well know, for kids, once the film ends, so does the fun. But thanks to video games, kids can now bring their favorite movies to life in ways that not even a theater can.

One of the most requested games this holiday season figures to be Flushed AwayTM, the game inspired by the upcoming film from DreamWorks Animation and Aardman.

In Flushed Away, kids can relive the adventures of Roddy, an upper-crust society rat who finds himself adventuring through London's underground canals in the hopes of finding his way home. Players can also choose to be the beautiful and street-smart Rita, or even the Jammy Dodger, Rita's trusted boat that has a personality all its own.

While the film mainly features Roddy's attempt to get back to his posh apartment while avoiding the villainous Toad, video game players will get to take the film even further in environments not featured in the film, such as Roddy's Kensington apartment, Arachne's Lair and more. In addition, players can fix up the Jammy Dodger along the way, collecting unique items such as a Roman Candle and Dry Ice, to name a few.

Rated "E" for Everyone and available for PlayStation® 2, Nintendo GameCubeTM, Game Boy® Advance, and Nintendo DSTM, "Flushed Away" also features several "mini-games" throughout Roddy's rich story.
